Ahead of the 2025/2026 season, the UEFA Women’s Champions League will adopt a league-format group stage with 18 teams, replacing the traditional groups. Nine clubs will qualify directly, and 69 will compete for the remaining spots through revamped qualifying paths. A second-tier competition, the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, will debut, offering more clubs European action. In total, 91 teams will participate across both tournaments. Qualification and seeding will be influenced by national and club rankings. The Europa Cup will follow a knockout format throughout and serve as a secondary opportunity for clubs eliminated from Champions League qualifiers.
